Items offered on our website are only available for delivery to addresses in the UK Mainland- exclusions may apply. We do not deliver to PO Boxes or BFPO numbers.

Cost and Timings

UK Mainland Excluding Channel Islands and Northern Ireland

• 3 - 5 working days for postcodes AB25, AB31, AB33-35, AB41-54, TR21-2
• Delivery is Monday - Friday between 9:00am to 6:00pm (excluding Bank Holidays)

Scottish Highlands / Scottish Islands

• Flat Rate delivery fee of £20
• Minimum 5 working days

Any specific timescales for delivery provided are estimates only.  

All orders including fresh items will be dispatched Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday ONLY

Orders placed on Friday will be processed and dispatched the following Monday, unless they include fresh items, in which instance they will be dispatched on Tuesday.

PLEASE NOTE: As a result of the COVID-19 outbreak, delivery of goods may be delayed.

As with most online stores we can not guarantee the service provided by the couriers we use for delivery.

It is compulsory for the customer to ensure there will be someone available to take delivery at the shipping address provided, as a signature may be required to confirm delivery.
The customer acknowledges that the courier can deliver to a neighbour when no one is available at the delivery address or leave safe, without prior consent. In all cases if a third party signs for delivery or it is left safe, the customer is still liable and covered by these t&c.

All parcels are sent on a trackable service and there may be instances where the customer will be required to enquire direct with couriers in order to resolve delivery issues and/or collect from a depot themselves.

We cannot be held responsible for failed or delayed delivery if the address you give us is incorrect, incomplete or has unclear information.

Non Delivery/Misdelivery: If you have not received your order after 10 days, you must email us to raise an investigation. Couriers restrict the time available to raise a claim and so we are unable to proceed with such a claim after this.

Once your order leaves us, we are unable to cancel, change the address or redirect orders without incurring charges, which you will be liable for.

All orders are subject to product availability. If an item is not in stock at the time you place your order, we will take all reasonable steps to contact you to arrange for an alternative solution.

Indian Grocery Store uses a number of providers as their third party delivery service provider. As part of the delivery service we provide them with your contact details such as name, address, email and contact number.  

Delivery will be made to the address specified by the customer when completing the online order form. You are responsible for making suitable arrangements to receive your delivery and providing us with appropriate instructions.If there is no one to receive the grocery delivery at the specified address at the time of your scheduled delivery, we reserve the right to return your order to our store and to charge you for re-delivery; or pass on any additional charges that we incur from our third party supplier(s) for each or any wasted journey made by them in their attempt to deliver your order. We may at our discretion also charge you any costs associated with requests made by you for fourth party deliveries or delivery re-routing.

In the event that your delivery is stolen from your doorstep or damaged while there, we do not accept liability, and will offer compensation at our discretion. We reserve the right to refuse to accept orders from any customer; considerations of delivery problems may give rise to such a refusal. 

We shall use reasonable endeavours to meet any date agreed for delivery. You have legal rights if we deliver any goods late. If we miss the delivery deadline for any goods then you may treat the contract at an end immediately if any of the following apply:

• we have refused to deliver the goods; or
• you told us before we accepted your order that delivery within the delivery deadline was essential (taking into account all the relevant circumstances)

If you do choose to treat the contract as at an end for late delivery, you can cancel your order for any of the goods or reject goods that have been delivered.

In the instance where we are unable to deliver to you, for reasons beyond our control, for example adverse weather conditions, strike actions, vehicle breakdown, traffic congestion or supplier failure, we cannot accept liability for any inconvenience or loss that this causes. 

If we receive no communication from you, within 24 hours of delivery, regarding any problems with the goods, you are deemed to have accepted and received the goods.

You must inspect the products as soon as possible after delivery and notify us if goods were damaged in transit and the damage is apparent on delivery, you should sign the delivery note to the effect that the goods have been damaged. In any event, you should report such damage to Indian Grocery Store within 48 hours and arrange for a return. Upon receipt of the returned goods, the price of the goods excluding delivery, as paid by you, will be refunded to you through the payment method used by you when purchasing the goods.

We offer a 30-day return policy (Grocery items only not include vegetables and fruits , giving you ample time to request a return if necessary. To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition as when you received it, unused or unworn, with tags intact, and in its original packaging. You must also provide proof of purchase or a receipt.

If your return request is accepted, we will provide you with a return shipping label and instructions on how and where to send your package. Please note that we cannot accept items sent back to us without prior approval and a valid return shipping label.
